Summer is still here...
Good afternoon parents,
We hope you have been enjoying this abrupt return of summer weather!
This week, we have had a lot of outdoor time during class, recess, and physical education class. Many students completed the always-exciting pacer run this week despite the heat and did great.
Remember to send your child in with a water bottle each day and challenge them to finish it!
In the Health Room, we have been seeing symptoms consistent with dehydration: dizziness, headache, lethargy, dry mouth. Many of these symptoms improve with rest and water. If you are not aware, students may carry a closed water bottle to class with them each day and are allowed to drink in class (with the exception of activities that involve the use of electronics).
Relish in the last few minutes of the gorgeous weather and happy fall!
